HP hardware HTG sources
Most requests start the same way: someone needs a set of machines by a date. Here is the HP lineup we quote most often for business buyers, and who usually ends up on each one.
HP EliteBook
For people who work away from a desk — sales, leadership, field staff, anyone in and out of client sites. Buyers choose EliteBooks when build quality, security features and a longer service life matter more than the lowest unit price.
HP ProBook
The everyday business laptop, and usually the right answer when you are putting a whole office or department on one model. Easy to support, easy to reorder the same configuration next year when headcount grows.
HP ZBook
For the people whose software fights back — CAD, BIM, GIS, 3D, video editing, large data sets. If a team keeps saying their machines are slow on model files or renders, this is the family to ask us about.
HP business desktops & all-in-ones
For fixed positions: front counters, nurse stations, shop floors, labs, dispatch and call centers. Less per seat than a laptop, easier to secure physically, and simple to standardize across a lot of desks.
HP Z desktop workstations
When the heavy work stays in the building. We quote these alongside the displays and storage the team actually needs, rather than pricing the tower on its own and leaving the rest to a second purchase order.
Displays, docks & accessories
Docks, monitors, keyboards, headsets and cables quoted with the machines and boxed with them, so a desk is usable the day it is set down. Better than chasing a dock order three weeks after the laptops land.
What is actually available changes week to week. Send us the model you have in mind and we will tell you what we can get, what the lead time looks like, and whether there is a current-generation replacement worth quoting instead.
Which HP business PC fits your team?
Three laptop families cover most of what we quote. The difference that matters to a buyer is who is carrying it and what they run all day.
ProBook
Office roles on browser apps, email, Microsoft 365 and a line-of-business system. Pick this when you want one model, one image and one reorder path across a department.
EliteBook
Same daily software, harder life. Choose it for staff who are on the road, on client sites, or handling information you would rather not explain in an incident report.
ZBook
Engineering, design, media and analysis work that a standard laptop stalls on. Worth the step up only for the people who actually run that software, not the whole floor.
Not sure where a role lands? Tell us what those people open when they sit down, and we will narrow it to one or two configurations to price.
What buying HP through HTG looks like
You can start and stop anywhere on this list. Some clients only want the quote and the boxes. Others hand us the whole rollout and never touch a pallet.
Tell us the models, or just the roles
Send part numbers if you have them. If you do not, describe the jobs and we will come back with one or two configurations and the reasoning, not a bare SKU to decode. See IT procurement.
Order placed, lead time stated
We order through our distribution channels and tell you the lead time we are actually seeing, including when a model is short and what a sensible substitute would be.
Checked in at Ridgefield
Machines land at our facility in Ridgefield, Washington. We unbox, inventory and check them against the order before anything moves further.
Imaged before it ships
Imaging, domain or Entra join, your application set, security agents and your naming convention, done here, so nobody spends their first morning watching installs run.
Tagged and recorded
Tags applied and serials, models and assignments recorded in a list you can hand to finance or import into your own asset system.
Boxed per user or per site
Laptop, dock, monitors, cables and accessories packed together and labeled for whoever opens them, instead of arriving as six separate deliveries.
One office, homes, or many sites
Direct ship, or a scheduled rollout across locations. When someone has to be there in person we send technicians, our own in Oregon and Washington and vetted field technicians elsewhere in the country.
The same team afterward
Once the machines are live, managed IT or co-managed support can pick them up, remote or onsite.
Planned, not scrambled
When the fleet comes due we plan the replacement under lifecycle management and take the old machines back for secure IT asset disposition with documentation.
HP for Business
Published and maintained by HPNeed pricing on an HP model?
A short email gets you a real number. If all you have is a photo of the label on the laptop someone is replacing, that works too.
- Model or SKU if you know it. Otherwise, the job the machine has to do.
- Quantity, and whether it lands at once or in waves.
- Timeline the date people need to be working, not the date you would like to order.
- Where it goes one office, several sites, or straight to home addresses.
- Configuration image, software, security agents, asset tags, docks and monitors.
HP purchasing questions we get
Can HTG quote HP business laptops in volume?
Yes. Volume quoting is most of what we do on the hardware side, whether that is a dozen machines for a growing team or several hundred for a refresh. Send the quantity and the date and we will come back with pricing and a realistic lead time.
Can you help us standardize on one HP model across the company?
Yes, and it is worth doing. We look at what different roles actually run, propose one or two configurations that cover most of them, and keep that standard on file so reorders and images stay consistent as you hire.
Can HTG configure HP computers before they are delivered?
Yes. Imaging, domain or Entra join, your application set, security agents and naming conventions are handled at our facility before the machines ship, so users are not waiting on installs on day one.
Can you asset-tag the devices?
Yes. We apply tags and record serial numbers, models and user assignments, then hand back a list you can give to finance or import into your own asset system.
Can you kit laptops with docks, monitors and accessories?
Yes. We quote the accessories with the machines and box them together per user or per site, labeled for whoever opens them, so a desk is complete when the delivery arrives.
Can HTG ship HP equipment to multiple locations?
Yes. We ship to single offices, to multiple sites on a schedule, and direct to home addresses for remote staff. Where someone needs to be onsite for the rollout, we use our own technicians in Oregon and Washington and vetted field technicians elsewhere in the United States.
Can you help with an HP device refresh and take the old equipment?
Yes. We plan the replacement wave, deploy the new machines and collect the old ones for secure IT asset disposition, with documentation covering what was collected and how it was handled.
Do you only quote HP?
No. HP is one of the lines we source. HTG also holds Gold Partner status with Dell Technologies and with Lenovo, so if a different platform fits the requirement better we will say so rather than push the brand you happened to ask about.
